26 Saul also went to his house in Gibeah, and the soldiers[a] whose hearts God had touched went with him. 27 But some troublemakers[b] said, “How can this man deliver us?” They despised him and did not bring him a gift. But Saul[c] remained silent.

26 Saul also went to his home in Gibeah,(A) accompanied by valiant men(B) whose hearts God had touched. 27 But some scoundrels(C) said, “How can this fellow save us?” They despised him and brought him no gifts.(D) But Saul kept silent.
