14 But even though you might be suffering[a] for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed[b] ones!
Make Christ Lord In Your Heart As You Suffer For Doing Good
But do not fear their fear[c], nor be disturbed, 15 but set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts, being ready always for a defense to everyone asking you a reason for the hope in you, 16 but with gentleness and fear[d], having a good conscience in order that in what you are spoken-against[e], the ones maligning your good conduct in Christ may be put-to-shame.

New International Version
14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.(A) “Do not fear their threats[a]; do not be frightened.”[b](B) 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer(C) to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope(D) that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience,(E) so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.(F)
