1 Peter 2:23-25
American Standard Version
23 who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, threatened not; but committed [a]himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24 who his own self [b]bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose [c]stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were going astray like sheep; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and [d]Bishop of your souls.

New International Version
23 When they hurled their insults at him,(A) he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats.(B) Instead, he entrusted himself(C) to him who judges justly.(D) 24 “He himself bore our sins”(E) in his body on the cross,(F) so that we might die to sins(G) and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”(H) 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,”[a](I) but now you have returned to the Shepherd(J) and Overseer of your souls.(K)
