⁵ who by God's power are being guarded ^(A)through faith for a salvation ^(B)ready to be revealed in the last time. ⁶ In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by ^(C)various trials, ⁷ so that ^(D)the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes ^(E)though it is tested by ^(F)fire—may be found to result in ^(G)praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Shepherd the Flock of God

5 So I exhort the elders among you, ^(A)as a fellow elder and ^(B)a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed:

¹⁷ and if children, then ^(A)heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, ^(B)provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Future Glory

¹⁸ For I consider that the sufferings of this present time ^(C)are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
