⁵³because you have separated them to yourself as your heritage from all the people of the earth, as you spoke through your servant Moses when you brought our ancestors out of Egypt, Lord God.

Solomon’s Blessing to the Assembly^(A)

⁵⁴When Solomon had completed saying this entire prayer to the Lord, he got up from kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven in the presence of the Lord’s altar, ⁵⁵stood up, and blessed all of the assembly of Israel in a loud voice. He said:

⁵³For you singled them out from all the nations of the world to be your own inheritance,^(A) just as you declared through your servant Moses when you, Sovereign Lord, brought our ancestors out of Egypt.”

⁵⁴When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the Lord, he rose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven. ⁵⁵He stood and blessed^(B) the whole assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying:
