1 Kings 8:11-13
Good News Translation
11 shining with the dazzling light of the Lord's presence, and they could not go back in to perform their duties. 12 (A)Then Solomon prayed:
“You, Lord, have placed the sun in the sky,[a]
yet you have chosen to live in clouds and darkness.
13 Now I have built a majestic temple for you,
a place for you to live in forever.”

New International Version
11 And the priests could not perform their service(A) because of the cloud, for the glory(B) of the Lord filled his temple.
12 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud;(C) 13 I have indeed built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell(D) forever.”
