¹¹ So God said to him, “Because you have requested this and did not ask for long life^[a] or riches for yourself,^(A) or the death^[b] of your enemies, but you asked discernment for yourself to understand justice,^{(B) 12} I will therefore do what you have asked.^(C) I will give you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has never been anyone like you before and never will be again.^{(D) 13} In addition, I will give you what you did not ask for: both riches and honor,^(E) so that no man in any kingdom will be your equal during your entire life.^{(F) 14} If you walk in My ways and keep My statutes and commands just as your father David did, I will give you a long life.”^(G)

²⁹ And everyone who has left houses, brothers or sisters, father or mother,^[a] children, or fields because of My name will receive 100 times more and will inherit eternal life.^(A)

²⁹ “I assure you,”^(A) Jesus said, “there is no one who has left house, brothers or sisters, mother or father,^[a] children, or fields because of Me and the gospel,^{(B) 30} who will not receive 100 times^(C) more, now at this time^(D)—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions^(E)—and eternal life^(F) in the age to come.^(G)
