47 Now (B)there was no king in Edom; a deputy was king. 48 Jehoshaphat made (C)ships of Tarshish to go to (D)Ophir for gold, but (E)they did not go for the ships were broken at (F)Ezion-geber.

46 He rid the land of the rest of the male shrine prostitutes(A) who remained there even after the reign of his father Asa. 47 There was then no king(B) in Edom; a provincial governor ruled.
48 Now Jehoshaphat built a fleet of trading ships[a](C) to go to Ophir for gold, but they never set sail—they were wrecked at Ezion Geber.(D)
