11 David had reigned over Israel for forty years. He reigned in Hebron for seven years, and he reigned in Jerusalem for thirty-three years.
12 Solomon Affirms His Power. Then Solomon sat on the throne of David, his father, and his reign was firmly established.
13 Now Adonijah, the son of Haggith, came to Bathsheba, the mother of Solomon. She asked him, “Do you come in peace?” He answered, “In peace.”
