⁷ But through the prophet Jehu^(A) son of Hanani the word of the Lord also had come against Baasha and against his house because of all the evil he had done in the Lord’s sight. His actions angered the Lord, and Baasha’s house became like the house of Jeroboam, because he had struck it down.^(B)

² Then Jehu^(A) son of the seer Hanani went out to confront him^[a] and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Do you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord?^(B) Because of this, the Lord’s wrath is on you.^(C)
