1 Kings 15:4-6

4 Nevertheless for David’s sake did Jehovah his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem; 5 because David did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. 6 Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

New International Version
4 Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp(A) in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and by making Jerusalem strong. 5 For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep(B) any of the Lord’s commands all the days of his life—except in the case of Uriah(C) the Hittite.
6 There was war(D) between Abijah[a] and Jeroboam throughout Abijah’s lifetime.
