28 Every time the king went to the Lord’s temple, the guards carried the shields. Later, they took them back to the room where they were kept.
29 The other events of Rehoboam’s rule are written down. Everything he did is written in the official records of the kings of Judah. 30 Rehoboam and Jeroboam were always at war with each other.

New International Version
28 Whenever the king went to the Lord’s temple, the guards bore the shields, and afterward they returned them to the guardroom.
29 As for the other events of Rehoboam’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? 30 There was continual warfare(A) between Rehoboam and Jeroboam.
