¹²Now then, let me advise^(A) you how you can save your own life and the life of your son Solomon.

¹²Now therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel, that thou mayest save thine own life, and the life of thy son Solomon.

⁶Surely you need guidance to wage war,
and victory is won through many advisers.^(A)

⁶For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.
