New Living Translation
8 Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining.
9 If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a fellow believer,[a] that person is still living in darkness. 10 Anyone who loves a fellow believer[b] is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble.

8 Yet I am writing you a new command;(A) its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing(B) and the true light(C) is already shining.(D)
9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[a](E) is still in the darkness.(F) 10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister[b] lives in the light,(G) and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.(H)
