Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Jafet amo sila ni Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshec, kag Tiras. Si Gomer may mga anak man nga sila ni Ashkenaz, Rifat,[a] kag Togarma. Ang mga anak ni Javan amo sila ni Elisha, Tarshish, Kitim, kag Rodanim.[b]

Ang mga Kaliwat ni Ham

Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Ham amo sila ni Cush, Mizraim,[c] Put, kag Canaan. Si Cush may mga anak man nga sila ni Sheba, Havila, Sabta, Raama, kag Sabteca. Ang mga anak ni Raama amo si Sheba kag si Dedan. 10 May isa pa ka anak si Cush nga ang iya ngalan si Nimrod. Si Nimrod nga ini nangin gamhanan nga tawo sa kalibutan.

11 Si Mizraim amo ang ginhalinan sang mga Ludhanon, Anamnon, Lehabnon, Naftunon, 12 Patrusnon, Caslunon, kag sang Caftornon[d] nga amo ang ginhalinan sang mga Filistinhon.

13 Si Canaan amo ang amay ni Sidon kag ni Het.[e] Si Sidon amo ang magulang. 14 Si Canaan amo man ang ginhalinan sang mga Jebusnon, Amornon, Girgashnon, 15 Hivhanon, Arkhanon, Sinhanon, 16 Arvadnon, Zemarnon, kag Hamatnon.

Ang mga Kaliwat ni Shem

17 Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Shem amo sila ni Elam, Ashur, Arfaxad, Lud, kag Aram. Ang mga anak ni Aram amo sila ni[f] Uz, Hul, Geter, kag Meshec.[g] 18 Si Arfaxad amay ni Shela, kag si Shela amay ni Eber. 19 May duha ka anak nga lalaki si Eber: ang isa gin-ngalanan nga Peleg, tungod kay sang iya panahon ang mga tawo sa kalibutan nagabinahin-bahin; ang ngalan sang iya utod amo si Joktan. 20 Si Joktan amo ang amay nila ni Almodad, Shelef, Hazarmavet, Jera, 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla, 22 Obal,[h] Abimael, Sheba, 23 Ofir, Havila, kag Jobab. Sila tanan amo ang mga anak ni Joktan.

The sons of Raamah:

Sheba and Dedan.

10 Cush was the father[c] of

Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on earth.

11 Egypt was the father of

the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites, 12 Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom the Philistines came) and Caphtorites.

13 Canaan was the father of

Sidon his firstborn,[d] and of the Hittites, 14 Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, 15 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, 16 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites.

The Semites(C)

17 The sons of Shem:

Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.

The sons of Aram:[e]

Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.

18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,

and Shelah the father of Eber.

19 Two sons were born to Eber:

One was named Peleg,[f] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.

20 Joktan was the father of

Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 22 Obal,[g] Abimael, Sheba, 23 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
