52 and that in a moment and in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet. For the trumpet will blow, and the dead will rise incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruptibility, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 When this corruptible has put on incorruptibility, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is consumed into victory.

52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,(A) the dead(B) will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable(C) must clothe itself with the imperishable,(D) and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[a](E)
