52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible will put on incorruption, and this mortal will put on immortality. 54 When this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then the saying that is written shall come to pass: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”[a]

52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,(A) the dead(B) will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable(C) must clothe itself with the imperishable,(D) and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[a](E)
