9 Neither let us tempt Christ as some of them did, and were destroyed by serpents. 10 Neither murmur as some of them murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
11 All these things happened to them for examples, and were written to make us mindful – we upon whom the ends of the world have come.

9 We should not test Christ,[a](A) as some of them did—and were killed by snakes.(B) 10 And do not grumble, as some of them did(C)—and were killed(D) by the destroying angel.(E)
11 These things happened to them as examples(F) and were written down as warnings for us,(G) on whom the culmination of the ages has come.(H)
