New International Version

⁸Ahitub the father of Zadok,^(A)

Zadok the father of Ahimaaz,

⁸And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,

¹⁷and ^(A)Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, and ^(B)Seraiah was secretary,

¹⁷Zadok^(A) son of Ahitub and Ahimelek son of Abiathar^(B) were priests; Seraiah was secretary;^(C)
