9 To the east he lived as far as the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates, (A)because their cattle had increased in the land of Gilead. 10 In the days of Saul (B)they made war with the Hagrites, and they fell by their hand. So they lived in their tents throughout [a]all the land east of Gilead.
Sons of Gad
11 Now the sons of Gad lived opposite them in the land of (C)Bashan as far as (D)Salecah.

10 During Saul’s reign they waged war against the Hagrites(C), who were defeated at their hands; they occupied the dwellings of the Hagrites throughout the entire region east of Gilead.
