¹⁶ They lived in Gilead, in Bashan and its towns, and throughout the pasturelands of Sharon.^(A)

²⁹ Shitrai the Sharonite was in charge of the herds that grazed in Sharon,^(A) while
Shaphat son of Adlai was in charge of the herds in the valleys.

2 I am a rose^[a][b] of Sharon,
a lily^[c] of the valleys.^(A)

⁹ The land mourns and withers;^(A)
Lebanon is ashamed and decayed.
Sharon is like a desert;
Bashan and Carmel shake off their leaves.

² It will blossom abundantly
and will also rejoice with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel and Sharon.^(A)
They will see the glory of the Lord,^(B)
the splendor of our God.^(C)

¹⁰ Sharon will be a pasture for flocks,^(A)
and the Valley of Achor a place for cattle to lie down,^(B)
for My people who have sought Me.^(C)
