1 Chronicles 29:9-11
Living Bible

9 Everyone was excited and happy for this opportunity of service, and King David was moved with deep joy.

10 While still in the presence of the whole assembly, David expressed his praises to the Lord: “O Lord God of our father Israel, praise your name for ever and ever! 11 Yours is the mighty power and glory and victory and majesty. Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything.

New International Version

9 The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly(A) to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

David’s Prayer

10 David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying,

“Praise be to you, Lord,
    the God of our father Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.
11 Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power(B)
    and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
    for everything in heaven and earth is yours.(C)
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
    you are exalted as head over all.(D)
