The Voice
4 Of these, 24,000 directed the work of the temple of the Eternal, 6,000 were officers and judges, 5 4,000 were gatekeepers, and 4,000 were musicians, praising Him with the instruments David made. 6 David divided the Levites into their families, the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

4 David said, “Of these, twenty-four thousand are to be in charge(A) of the work(B) of the temple of the Lord and six thousand are to be officials and judges.(C) 5 Four thousand are to be gatekeepers and four thousand are to praise the Lord with the musical instruments(D) I have provided for that purpose.”(E)
6 David separated(F) the Levites into divisions corresponding to the sons of Levi:(G) Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
