4 Of these, 24,000 were (A)to direct the work of the house of Yahweh; and 6,000 were (B)officers and judges, 5 and 4,000 were gatekeepers, and (C)4,000 were praising Yahweh with the instruments which [a]David made for giving praise. 6 And David divided them into divisions (D)according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

6 David separated(F) the Levites into divisions corresponding to the sons of Levi:(G) Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
