4 “Twenty-four thousand of these,” David said,[a] (A)“shall have charge of the work in the house of the Lord, 6,000 shall be (B)officers and judges, 5 4,000 gatekeepers, and 4,000 shall offer praises to the Lord with the instruments (C)that I have made for praise.” 6 (D)And David organized them into divisions (E)corresponding to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

4 David said, “Of these, twenty-four thousand are to be in charge(A) of the work(B) of the temple of the Lord and six thousand are to be officials and judges.(C) 5 Four thousand are to be gatekeepers and four thousand are to praise the Lord with the musical instruments(D) I have provided for that purpose.”(E)
