²⁴After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, Abijah the wife of Hezron bore him Ashhur^(A) the father^[a] of Tekoa.

1 Chronicles 2:24 Father may mean civic leader or military leader; also in verses 42, 45, 49-52 and possibly elsewhere.

²⁴And after that Hezron was dead in Calebephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.
