21 When Hezron was 60 years old, he married the daughter of Machir, who settled the region of Gilead. Their son Segub 22 was the father of Jair, who ruled 23 villages in the region of Gilead.

21 Later, Hezron, when he was sixty years old, married the daughter of Makir the father of Gilead.(B) He made love to her, and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub was the father of Jair, who controlled twenty-three towns in Gilead.
