أُغنِيَّةٌ لِسُلَيمَان.
72 أعْطِ يَا اللهَ حُكمًا سَدِيدًا لِلمَلِكِ.
وَلِابنِ المَلِكِ أعْطِ العَدْلَ وَالإنصَافَ.
2 لِكَي يَحْكُمَ المَلِكُ شَعْبَكَ بِالإنْصَافِ
وَيَقْضِي بِالعَدْلِ لِلمَسَاكِينِ.
3 لِكَي تُثمِرَ الجِبَالُ سَلَامًا،
وَالتِّلَالُ أعْمَالَ خَيرٍ.
4 لِكَي يُنْصِفَ المَلِكُ المَسَاكِينَ
وَيُغِيثَ المُحتَاجَ
وَيُعَاقِبَ الظَّالِمِينَ.
5 لِكَي يَخَافَكَ وَيَتَّقِيكَ البَشَرُ جِيلًا بَعْدَ جِيلٍ
طَالَمَا وُجِدَتْ شَمسٌ وَكَانَ قَمَرٌ!
6 وَلِيَكُنِ المَلِكُ كَالنَّدَى عَلَى عُشْبِ الحَقْلِ.
وَكَالمَطَرِ النَّازِلِ عَلَى الأرْضِ.
7 لِيَزْدَهِرِ الإنْسَانُ المُسْتَقِيمُ فِي حَيَاتِهِ،
وَلِيَزْدَهِرْ سَلَامُهُ إلَى الأبَدِ.
8 لِيَمْتَدَّ مُلْكُهُ مِنَ البَحْرِ إلَى البَحْرِ،
وَمِنَ النَّهْرِ إلَى أقَاصِي الأرْضِ.
9 لِيَنْحَنِ لَهُ أعْدَاؤُهُ، سُكَّانُ الصَّحرَاءِ،
وَلْيَلْحَسُوا تُرَابَ قَدَمَيهِ.
10 لِيَأْتِهِ مُلُوكُ تَرْشِيشَ وَالسَّوَاحِلِ بِهَدَايَا،
وَلِيُقَدِّمْ لَهُ مُلُوكُ شَبَا وَسَبأ ضَرِيبَةً.
11 لِيَنْحَنِ خُضُوعًا لَهُ كُلُّ المُلُوكِ،
وَلِتَخْدِمْهُ كُلُّ الشُّعُوبِ.
12 لِأنَّهُ يُنْقِذُ المَسَاكِينَ وَالمُحتَاجِينَ المُسْتَغِيثِينَ،
الَّذِينَ لَا مُنقِذَ لَهُمْ.
13 عَلَى المَسَاكِينَ وَالبَائِسِينَ يَتَحَنَّنُ المَلِكُ،
وَيُخَلِّصُ حَيَاةَ العَاجِزِينَ المُحتَاجِينَ.
14 مِنَ المَكَائِدِ الخَبِيثَةِ وَالبَطشِ يَفْدِي نُفُوسَهُمْ.
فَحَيَاتُهُمْ ثَمِينَةٌ لَدَيهِ.
15 لَيْتَ عُمرَ المَلِكِ يَطُولُ وَيَكُونَ ذَهَبُ شَبَا مِنْ نَصِيبِهِ.
لَيْتَ النَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ لِأجْلِهِ وَيُبَارِكُونَهُ دَائِمًا.
16 لَيْتَ حُقُولَ الحُبُوبِ تُغَطِّي رُؤُوسَ الجِبَالِ!
لَيْتَ ثَمَرَهَا يَكْبُرُ كَأرْزِ لُبْنَانَ،
وَيَطْلُعُ مِنَ المُدُنِ كَالعُشبِ فِي الحُقُولِ.
17 لَيْتَ اسْمَهُ يَدُومُ إلَى الأبَدِ،
وَيَعْرِفُهُ كُلُّ مَنْ هُوَ تَحْتَ الشَّمْسِ.
لَيْتَ الأُمَمَ بِاسْمِهِ تَتَبَارَكُ،
وَيَطْلُبُونَ لَهُ البَرَكَةَ.
18 لِيَتَبَارَكِ اللهُ،
إلَهُ إسْرَائِيلَ
الَّذِي وَحْدَهُ يَصْنَعُ العَجَائِبَ!
19 لِيَتَبَارَكِ اسْمُهُ المَجِيدُ إلَى الأبَدِ،
وَلْيَملأ مَجْدُهُ كُلَّ الأرْضِ.
آمِينَ ثُمَّ آمِينَ.
20 بِهَذَا تَنْتَهِي صَلَوَاتُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ يَسَّى.

72 اللهُمَّ أَعْطِ أَحْكَامَكَ الْعَادِلَةَ لِلْمَلِكِ ولابْنِهِ بِرَّكَ، 2 فَيَقْضِيَ لِشَعْبِكَ بِالْعَدْلِ وَمَسَاكِينِكَ بِالإِنْصَافِ. 3 لِتَحْمِلِ الْجِبَالُ لِلشَّعْبِ سَلاماً، وَالتِّلالُ بِرّاً. 4 لِيَحْكُمِ الْمَلِكُ بِالْحَقِّ لِلْمَسَاكِينِ، وَيُنْقِذْ بَنِي الْبَائِسِينَ، وَيُحَطِّمِ الظَّالِمَ. 5 لِيَرْهَبُوكَ مَادَامَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ، مِنْ جِيلٍ إِلَى جِيلٍ. 6 لِيَكُنِ الْمَلِكُ كَالْمَطَرِ الْمُنْهَمِرِ عَلَى الْمَرَاعِي الْمَجْزُوزَةِ، كَالْغُيُوثِ الَّتِي تَسْقِي الأَرْضَ. 7 لِيَزْدَهِرْ فِي أَيَّامِهِ الصِّدِّيقُ، وَيَتَوَافَرِ السَّلامُ مَادَامَ الْقَمَرُ يُضِيءُ. 8 وَلْتَمْتَدَّ مَمْلَكَتُهُ مِنَ الْبَحْرِ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ، وَمِنَ النَّهْرِ إِلَى أَقَاصِي الأَرْضِ.
9 أَمَامَهُ يَرْكَعُ أَهْلُ الْبَادِيَةِ، وَأَعْدَاؤُهُ يَلْحَسُونَ التُّرَابَ. 10 مُلُوكُ تَرْشِيشَ وَالْجُزُرِ يَحْمِلُونَ إِلَيْهِ الْهَدَايَا. مُلُوكُ شَبَا وَسَبَأَ يُقَدِّمُونَ عَطَايَا. 11 يَنْحَنِي أَمَامَهُ جَمِيعُ الْمُلُوكِ. وَتَتَعَبَّدُ لَهُ كُلُّ الأُمَمِ. 12 لأَنَّهُ يُنْقِذُ الْمِسْكِينَ الْمُسْتَغِيثَ الْبَائِسَ الَّذِي لَا مُعِينَ لَهُ. 13 يَعْطِفُ عَلَى الْفَقِيرِ وَالْمُحْتَاجِ وَيُخَلِّصُ نُفُوسَ الْمَسَاكِينِ. 14 إِذْ يَفْتَدِي نُفُوسَهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلْمِ وَالْعُنْفِ، وَيَحْفَظُ حَيَاتَهُمْ لأَنَّهَا ثَمِينَةٌ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ. 15 لِيَحْيَ الْمَلِكُ! لِيُعْطَ لَهُ ذَهَبُ شَبَا. وَلْيُصَلُّوا مِنْ أَجْلِهِ دَائِماً وَيَطْلُبُوا لَهُ بَرَكَةَ اللهِ كُلَّ النَّهَارِ.
16 لِتَتَكَاثَرِ الْغِلالُ فِي الأَرْضِ وَعَلَى رُؤُوسِ الْجِبَالِ، وَتَتَمَاوَجْ مِثْلَ أَرْزِ لُبْنَانَ، وَيُزْهِرْ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ كَعُشْبِ الأَرْضِ. 17 يَخْلُدُ اسْمُهُ إِلَى الدَّهْرِ، وَيَدُومُ اسْمُهُ كَدَيْمُومَةِ الشَّمْسِ، وَيَتَبَارَكُ النَّاسُ بِهِ، وَتُطَوِّبُهُ كُلُّ الأُمَمِ. 18 تَبَارَكَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَهُوَ وَحْدَهُ صَانِعُ الْعَجَائِبِ. 19 تَبَارَكَ اسْمُهُ الْمَجِيدُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَلْتَمْتَلِئِ الأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا مِنْ مَجْدِهِ. آمِين ثُمَّ آمِين.
20 هُنَا تَنْتَهِي صَلَوَاتُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ يَسَّى.

Psalm 72
Of Solomon.
1 Endow the king with your justice,(A) O God,
the royal son with your righteousness.
2 May he judge your people in righteousness,(B)
your afflicted ones with justice.
3 May the mountains bring prosperity to the people,
the hills the fruit of righteousness.
4 May he defend the afflicted(C) among the people
and save the children of the needy;(D)
may he crush the oppressor.(E)
5 May he endure[a](F) as long as the sun,
as long as the moon, through all generations.(G)
6 May he be like rain(H) falling on a mown field,
like showers watering the earth.
7 In his days may the righteous flourish(I)
and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.
8 May he rule from sea to sea
and from the River[b](J) to the ends of the earth.(K)
9 May the desert tribes bow before him
and his enemies lick the dust.
10 May the kings of Tarshish(L) and of distant shores(M)
bring tribute to him.
May the kings of Sheba(N) and Seba
present him gifts.(O)
11 May all kings bow down(P) to him
and all nations serve(Q) him.
12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out,
the afflicted who have no one to help.
13 He will take pity(R) on the weak and the needy
and save the needy from death.
14 He will rescue(S) them from oppression and violence,
for precious(T) is their blood in his sight.
15 Long may he live!
May gold from Sheba(U) be given him.
May people ever pray for him
and bless him all day long.(V)
16 May grain(W) abound throughout the land;
on the tops of the hills may it sway.
May the crops(X) flourish like Lebanon(Y)
and thrive[c] like the grass of the field.(Z)
17 May his name endure forever;(AA)
may it continue as long as the sun.(AB)
18 Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel,(AD)
who alone does marvelous deeds.(AE)
19 Praise be to his glorious name(AF) forever;
may the whole earth be filled with his glory.(AG)
