법궤를 예루살렘으로 옮김
6 1-2 그런 다음에 다윗은 30,000명의 특 수부대를조직하여그룹천사사이 에 계시는 여호와의 궤를 가져오기 위 해서 그들을 이끌고 유다의 [a]바알레로 갔다.
3 그들은그궤를새수레에얹어산간 지대에 있는 아비나답의 집에서 가져 나왔는데 아비나답의 아들인 웃사와 아효가 그 수레를 몰았다.
4 아효는 궤 앞에서 걸어가고
5 다윗과 모든 이스라엘 사람들은 뒤따 라가며 잣나무 가지를 꺾어 즐거운 표 정으로 흔들고 수금, 비파, 소고, 양금, 제금과 같은 여러 가지 악기로 여호와 앞에서 춤추고 노래하였다.
6 그러나 그들이 나곤의 타작 마당에 이 르렀을 때 갑자기 소들이 비틀거리므 로 웃사가 그 궤를 붙들었다.
7 여호와께서 웃사의 불경한 행동에 노 하셔서 그를 치시자 그가 여호와의 궤 곁에서 죽었다.
8 다윗은 여호와께서 웃사에게 행하신 것을 보고 화가 나서 그 곳 이름을 [b]‘베 레스-웃사’ 라고 불렀는데 오늘날도 그 이름이 그대로 남아 있다.
9 다윗은 그 날 여호와를 두려워하여 “내가 어떻게 여호와의 궤를 내 집으 로 가져갈 수 있겠느냐?” 하고
10 그궤를자기가사는다윗성으로가져 가는 것을 꺼려서 대신 가드 사람 오벧 – 에돔의집으로가져갔다.
11 그래서여호와의궤는거기서석달을 머물러 있었고 여호와께서는 오벧-에돔과 그의 모든 가족에게 복을 주셨 다.
12 다윗은그궤로인해여호와께서오벧 – 에돔의 가족과 그 모든 소유에 복을 주셨다는 말을 듣고 기쁜 마음으로 그 궤를 오벧-에돔의 집에서 다윗성으 로 가져왔는데
13 그 궤를 멘 사람들이 여섯 걸음을 옮겨 놓았을 때 다윗은 그들을 멈추게 하고 소와 살진 양으로 여호와께 제사를 지 냈다.
14 그리고 그는 모시 에봇을 입고 여호와 앞에서 힘껏 춤을 추었다.
15 그렇게해서다윗과모든이스라엘사 람들은 기쁨의 함성을 지르고 나팔을 불면서 여호와의 궤를 메어 왔다.
16 그러나여호와의궤가다윗성으로들 어올 때 사울의 딸이며 다윗의 아내인 미갈이 창 밖을 내다보다가 다윗왕이 여호와앞에서뛰고춤추는것을보고 속으로그를업신여겼다.
17 다윗은 여호와의 궤를 자기가 미리 쳐 둔휘장안에안치하게하고번제와 화목제를 여호와께 드렸다.
18 그런 다음 그는 전능하신 여호와의 이 름으로 백성들을 축복하고
19 남녀 모든 사람들에게 각각 빵 하나와 [c]고기 한 조각과 건포도빵 한 개씩 나 누어 주었다. 그러자 백성들은 모두 자기 집으로 돌아갔다.
20 그러고서 다윗은 자기 가족을 축복하 려고 집에 돌아왔으나 미갈은 그를 맞 으러 나와서 “오늘은 어쩌면 이스라엘 의 왕이 그처럼 영광스럽게 보이십니 까? 천한 사람들이 부끄러운 줄도 모 르고 함부로 자기 몸을 드러내는 것처 럼 왕은 오늘 신하들의 하녀들 앞에서 몸을 드러내셨습니다!” 하고 빈정거 렸다.
21 이때 다윗이 미갈의 말에 대꾸하였다. “나는 여호와 앞에서 춤을 춘 것이오! 여호와께서는 당신의 부친과 그의 가 족을 버리시고 나를 택하셔서 자기 백 성 이스라엘의 지도자로 삼으셨소. 그 래서 나는 앞으로도 [d]여호와를 기쁘시 게하는일이라면계속춤을출것이 오.
22 내가이보다더바보취급을받아도좋 소. 하지만 당신이 말한 그 하녀들에게 는 내가 존경을 받을 것이오.”
23 그러므로사울의딸미갈은죽는날까 지 자식이 없었다.

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem(A)(B)
6 David again brought together all the able young men of Israel—thirty thousand. 2 He and all his men went to Baalah[a](C) in Judah to bring up from there the ark(D) of God, which is called by the Name,[b](E) the name of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned(F) between the cherubim(G) on the ark. 3 They set the ark of God on a new cart(H) and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill.(I) Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart 4 with the ark of God on it,[c] and Ahio was walking in front of it. 5 David and all Israel were celebrating(J) with all their might before the Lord, with castanets,[d] harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.(K)
6 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of(L) the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. 7 The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act;(M) therefore God struck him down,(N) and he died there beside the ark of God.
8 Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath(O) had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.[e](P)
9 David was afraid of the Lord that day and said, “How(Q) can the ark of the Lord ever come to me?” 10 He was not willing to take the ark of the Lord to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom(R) the Gittite. 11 The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed him and his entire household.(S)
12 Now King David(T) was told, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God.” So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. 13 When those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed(U) a bull and a fattened calf. 14 Wearing a linen ephod,(V) David was dancing(W) before the Lord with all his might, 15 while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts(X) and the sound of trumpets.(Y)
16 As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David,(Z) Michal(AA) daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart.
17 They brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it,(AB) and David sacrificed burnt offerings(AC) and fellowship offerings before the Lord. 18 After he had finished sacrificing(AD) the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed(AE) the people in the name of the Lord Almighty. 19 Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins(AF) to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women.(AG) And all the people went to their homes.
20 When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked(AH) in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!”
21 David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed(AI) me ruler(AJ) over the Lord’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. 22 I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”
23 And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
