بابل کی فوج کا مصر پر حملہ کرنا
30 خداوند کا کلام مجھے پھر ملا۔ اس نے کہا، 2 “اے ابن آدم! میرے لئے کچھ کہو۔کہو، ’ خداوند میرا مالک یہ کہتا ہے:
’“چلا ؤ اور کہو،
“وہ بھیانک دن آ رہا ہے۔”
3 وہ دن قریب ہے۔
ہاں! خداوند کا فیصلہ کرنے کا دن قریب ہے۔
یہ ایک بادلو ں کا دن ہوگا۔
یہ قو موں کے ساتھ فیصلہ کرنے کا وقت ہو گا۔
4 مصر کے لوگوں کے خلاف ایک تلوار آئے گی۔
اہلِ کو ش(اتھو پیا ) خوف سے کانپ اٹھیں گے جس وقت مصر کا زوا ل ہو گا۔
بابل کی فوج مصر کے خزانے لوٹ کر لے جا ئے گی۔
مصر کی بنیاد اکھڑ جا ئے گی۔
5 ’“کئی لوگوں نے مصر میں امن معاہدہ کیا۔ لیکن کوش، فوط، لود، تمام عرب، لیبیا اور معاہدے کے لوگ فنا ہو جا ئیں گے۔
6 خداوند میرا مالک کہتا ہے:
“جو مصر کی مدد کر تے ہیں ان کا زوال ہو گا۔
اس کی طاقت کا غرور جا تا رہے گا۔
اہلِ مصر مجدال سے لے کر اسوان تک جنگ میں مارے جا ئیں گے۔”
خداوند میرے خدا نے یہ باتیں کہیں۔
7 مصر ان ملکوں میں سے ہو گا۔ جو فنا کر دیئے گئے۔
اس کے شہر اُجڑ جا ئیں گے۔
8 میں مصر میں آگ لگا ؤں گا
اور اس کے سبھی مددگار نیست ونابود ہو جا ئیں گے۔
تب وہ جا نیں گے کہ میں خداوند ہوں۔
9 ’“اس وقت میں فرشتوں کو بھیجوں گا۔ وہ جہازو ں میں کو ش کو بُری خبر یں پہنچانے کے لئے جا ئیں گے۔ کو ش اب خود کو محفوظ سمجھتا ہے۔ لیکن اہلِ کوش خوف سے تب کا نپیں گے جب مصر سزا یاب ہو گا۔ وہ وقت آرہا ہے۔
10 خداوند میرا مالک کہتا ہے:
“میں شا ہ بابل نبو کد نضر کا استعمال کروں گا
اور میں اہلِ مصر کو فنا کروں گا۔
11 نبو کد نضر اور اس کے لو گ ساری قوموں میں نہایت ہی خطرناک ہیں۔
میں انہیں مصر کو فنا کرنے کیلئے لا ؤنگا۔
اور وہ مصر کے خلاف اپنی تلواریں نکا لیں گے۔
وہ ملک کو لاشوں سے بھر دیں گے۔
12 میں دریائے نیل کو خشک زمین بنا دوں گا۔
تب میں خشک زمین بُرے لوگوں کو بیچ دو ں گا۔
میں اجنبیو ں کا استعمال اس ملک کو خالی کرنے کے لئے کرونگا۔
میں خداوند نے یہ کہا ہے!:
مصر کے بتو ں کو تہس نہس کیا جا ئے گا
13 خداوند میرامالک یہ کہتا ہے:
“میں مصر کے بتوں کو فنا کروں گا۔
میں مجسموں کو نوف سے با ہر کروں گا۔
ملک مصر میں کو ئی بھی حاکم آگے نہیں ہو گا۔
اور میں مصر میں خوف پیدا کروں گا۔
14 میں فتروس کو ویران کردو ں گا۔
میں ضعن میں آگ لگادو ں گا۔
میں نو کو سزا دوں گا۔
15 اور میں سین نامی مصر کے قلعہ کے خلاف اپنے قہر کی بارش برسا ؤں گا۔
میں اہلِ نو کو نیست ونابود کرو ں گا۔
16 میں مصر میں آگ لگا ؤں گا۔
سین نامی مقام خوف کی وجہ سے سخت درد میں مبتلا ہو گا۔
نو شہر تبا ہ ہو جا ئے گا۔
ممفیس ہر روز مختلف طرح کی پریشانیوں میں مبتلا رہیگا۔
17 آون اور فی بست کے نو جوان جنگ میں مارے جا ئیں گے
اور عورتیں قیدی بنا کر لے جا ئی جا ئیں گی۔
18 تحف نحیس کے لئے یہ سیاہ دن ہو گا جب میں مصر پر پو ری طرح سے قبضہ کرلونگا۔
مصر کی طاقت کے غرور کا خاتمہ ہو جا ئے گا۔
پو را مصر بادلوں سے ڈھک جا ئے گا۔
اس کی بیٹیا ں پکڑ لی جا ئیں گی اور قید کرکے لے جا ئی جا ئیں گی۔
19 اس طرح میں مصر کو سزا دو ں گا۔
تب وہ جا نیں گے کہ میں خداوند ہو ں۔”
مصر کا ہمیشہ کے لئے کمزور ہو نا
20 جلاوطنی کے گیار ھویں برس کے پہلے مہینے (اپریل ) کے ساتویں دن خداوند کا کلام مجھے ملا۔ اس نے کہا، 21 “اے ابن آدم! میں نے شاہ مصر، فرعون کے بازو (قوت ) تو ڑ ڈا لے ہیں۔کو ئی بھی اس کے بازو پر پٹی نہیں لپیٹے گا۔اس کا زخم نہیں بھرے گا۔ اس لئے اس کے بازو تلوار پکڑنے کے قابل نہیں رہیں گے۔”
22 خداوند میرا مالک کہتا ہے، “میں شا ہ مصر، فرعون کے خلاف ہوں۔ میں اس کے دونوں بازو، طاقتور بازو اور پہلے سے ٹو ٹے ہو ئے بازو کو توڑ ڈا لونگا۔ میں اس کے ہا تھ سے تلوار کو گرادونگا۔ 23 میں مصریوں کو مختلف قوموں میں منتشر کردوں گا۔ اور انہیں الگ الگ ملکوں میں بکھیر دوں گا۔ 24 میں شاہ بابل کے بازوؤں کو طاقتور بناؤں گا۔ میں اپنی تلوار اسکے ہاتھ میں دونگا۔ لیکن میں شاہ فرعون کے بازوؤں کو توڑوں گا۔ تب فرعون درد سے چلائے گا۔ بادشاہ کی چیخ ایک مرتے ہوئے شخص کی چیخ کی مانند ہوگی۔ 25 اس لئے میں شاہ بابل کے بازوؤں کو طاقتور بناؤں گا، لیکن فرعون کے بازو گر جائیں گے۔ تب وہ جان جائیں گے کہ میں خدا وند ہوں۔
“میں شاہ بابل کے ہاتھوں میں اپنی تلوار دوں گا۔ تب وہ ملک مصر کے خلاف اپنی تلوار کھینچیگا۔ 26 میں مصریوں کو مختلف قوموں میں منتشر کروں گا اور انہیں الگ الگ ملکوں میں بکھیر دوں گا۔ تب وہ سمجھیں گے کہ میں خدا وند ہوں۔”

A Lament Over Egypt
30 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘Wail(A) and say,
“Alas for that day!”
3 For the day is near,(B)
the day of the Lord(C) is near—
a day of clouds,
a time of doom for the nations.
4 A sword will come against Egypt,(D)
and anguish will come upon Cush.[a](E)
When the slain fall in Egypt,
her wealth will be carried away
and her foundations torn down.(F)
5 Cush and Libya,(G) Lydia and all Arabia,(H) Kub and the people(I) of the covenant land will fall by the sword along with Egypt.(J)
6 “‘This is what the Lord says:
“‘The allies of Egypt will fall
and her proud strength will fail.
From Migdol to Aswan(K)
they will fall by the sword within her,
declares the Sovereign Lord.
7 “‘They will be desolate
among desolate lands,
and their cities will lie
among ruined cities.(L)
8 Then they will know that I am the Lord,
when I set fire(M) to Egypt
and all her helpers are crushed.(N)
9 “‘On that day messengers will go out from me in ships to frighten Cush(O) out of her complacency. Anguish(P) will take hold of them on the day of Egypt’s doom, for it is sure to come.(Q)
10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘I will put an end to the hordes of Egypt
by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar(R) king of Babylon.(S)
11 He and his army—the most ruthless of nations(T)—
will be brought in to destroy the land.
They will draw their swords against Egypt
and fill the land with the slain.(U)
12 I will dry up(V) the waters of the Nile(W)
and sell the land to an evil nation;
by the hand of foreigners
I will lay waste(X) the land and everything in it.
I the Lord have spoken.
13 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘I will destroy the idols(Y)
and put an end to the images in Memphis.(Z)
No longer will there be a prince in Egypt,(AA)
and I will spread fear throughout the land.
14 I will lay(AB) waste Upper Egypt,
set fire to Zoan(AC)
and inflict punishment on Thebes.(AD)
15 I will pour out my wrath on Pelusium,
the stronghold of Egypt,
and wipe out the hordes of Thebes.
16 I will set fire(AE) to Egypt;
Pelusium will writhe in agony.
Thebes will be taken by storm;
Memphis(AF) will be in constant distress.
17 The young men of Heliopolis(AG) and Bubastis
will fall by the sword,
and the cities themselves will go into captivity.
18 Dark will be the day at Tahpanhes(AH)
when I break the yoke of Egypt;(AI)
there her proud strength will come to an end.
She will be covered with clouds,
and her villages will go into captivity.(AJ)
19 So I will inflict punishment(AK) on Egypt,
and they will know that I am the Lord.’”
Pharaoh’s Arms Are Broken
20 In the eleventh year, in the first month on the seventh day, the word of the Lord came to me:(AL) 21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm(AM) of Pharaoh(AN) king of Egypt. It has not been bound up to be healed(AO) or put in a splint so that it may become strong enough to hold a sword. 22 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt.(AP) I will break both his arms, the good arm as well as the broken one, and make the sword fall from his hand.(AQ) 23 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.(AR) 24 I will strengthen(AS) the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword(AT) in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan(AU) before him like a mortally wounded man. 25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall limp. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I put my sword(AV) into the hand of the king of Babylon and he brandishes it against Egypt.(AW) 26 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. Then they will know that I am the Lord.(AX)”
