3 And the Israelites[a] cried to Yahweh, as he had nine hundred iron chariots,[b] and he oppressed the Israelites[c] cruelly[d] for twenty years.[e]
4 Now at that time Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging[f] Israel. 5 And she used to sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim; and the Israelites[g] went up to her for judgment.
