2 Kings 16:6-8
Evangelical Heritage Version
6 At that time, Rezin king of Aram recovered Elat for Edom,[a] and he drove the people of Judah away from Elat. Then Edomites[b] came to Elat, and they have lived there to this day.
7 So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria, saying, “I am your servant and your son. Come and save me from the hand of the king of Aram and from the hand of the king of Israel, who have come up against me.” 8 Then Ahaz took the silver and the gold which were found in the House of the Lord and in the treasuries of the king’s palace, and he sent them to the king of Assyria as tribute.
