⁶¹ Be wholeheartedly devoted to the Lord our God^(A) to walk in his statutes and to keep his commands, as it is today.”

⁹ “As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind,^(A) for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought.^(B) If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will reject you forever.^(C)

⁷ Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves^(A) a cheerful giver.
