² and he said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist! He has been raised from the dead, and for this reason miraculous powers are at work in him.” ³ For Herod, after^[a] arresting John, bound him and put him^[b] in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, ⁴ because John had been saying to him, “It is not permitted for you to have her.”
