²⁶For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

³⁸“But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir.^(A) Come, let’s kill him^(B) and take his inheritance.’^(C)

³⁸But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
