11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst [a]thereof, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim; but Jehovah will lay low [b]his pride [c]together with the craft of [d]his hands. 12 And the high fortress of thy walls [e]hath he brought down, laid low, and brought to the ground, even to the dust.

New International Version

11 They will stretch out their hands in it,
    as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim.
God will bring down(A) their pride(B)
    despite the cleverness[a] of their hands.
12 He will bring down your high fortified walls(C)
    and lay them low;(D)
he will bring them down to the ground,
    to the very dust.
