1 Corinthians 15:53-55
Modern English Version

53 For this corruptible will put on incorruption, and this mortal will put on immortality. 54 When this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then the saying that is written shall come to pass: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”[a]

55 “O death, where is your sting?
    O grave, where is your victory?”[b]

53 For the perishable(A) must clothe itself with the imperishable,(B) and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[a](C)

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
    Where, O death, is your sting?”[b](D)
