The Plan
Prophecy Thread of Week 44
Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary Definition of Truth:
Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies.
MESSIAH WILL CONFOUND THE WISE
After the northern tribes of Israel had fallen at the hands of the Assyrians, Isaiah was comforting the country with most detailed prophecies of the coming Messiah. Messiah would confound the wise and the enemy’s entire kingdom when He would die on the cross and rise again from the dead leaving His Holy Spirit within believers to replicate Himself throughout the Church. Thus the victory is beyond the comprehension of the natural mind, but available to the humble, as stated in James 4:6, God gives grace to the humble.

1Co 1:19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
1Co 1:20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
1Co 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
