I will extol Thee, O Lord, for Thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David. I will extol thee, O Jehovah; for thou hast raised me up, And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

A psalm; a dedication song for the house. Of David. I will exalt you, Lord, because you have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me.
I exalt you, Lord, because you pulled me up; you didn’t let my enemies celebrate over me.
A psalm. A song for the dedication of the house. By David:
(A psalm by David for the dedication of the temple.) I will praise you, Lord! You saved me from the grave and kept my enemies from celebrating my death.
A Psalm of David: dedication-song of the house. I will extol thee, Jehovah; for thou hast delivered me, and hast not made mine enemies to rejoice over me.
Unto the end, a psalm for David, in an ecstasy.
A song of David for the dedication of the Temple. Lord, you lifted me out of my troubles. You did not give my enemies a reason to laugh, so I will praise you.
David wrote this song. He asks God to bless the Temple. Lord, I will praise you, because you have saved me from death. You have not let my enemies laugh at me.

1 When David was delivered, from great danger, he rendered thanks to God, exhorting others to do the like, and to learn by his example, that God is rather merciful than severe and rigorous towards his children. 7 And also that the fall from prosperity to adversity is sudden. 8 This done, he returneth to prayer, promising to praise God forever. A Psalm or song of the dedication of the house of David. I will magnify thee, O Lord: thou hast exalted me, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
