Proverbs 22:22
Rob not the poor because he is poor, neither oppress the afflicted at the gate;
Rob not the poor, because he is poor; Neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
Do not rob the poor because he is poor [and defenseless], Nor crush the afflicted [by legal proceedings] at the gate [where the city court is held],
Rob not the poor [being tempted by their helplessness], neither oppress the afflicted at the gate [where the city court is held],
Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
Don’t rob a poor person because he is poor, and don’t crush the oppressed at the city gate,
Don’t steal from the poor, because they are poor. Don’t oppress the needy in the gate.
Don’t exploit the helpless, because they are helpless, and don’t crush the poor in court,
Don't take advantage of the poor or cheat them in court.
Rob not the poor, because he is poor, neither oppress the afflicted in the gate;
Do no violence to the poor, because he is poor: and do not oppress the needy in the gate:
It is easy to steal from the poor, but don’t do it. And don’t take advantage of them in court.
1. Do not cheat poor people just because they are poor. Do not attack helpless people in court.
Do not rob a poor person because he is poor, and do not crush an oppressed person in court,
Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate,
Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate,
Do not ·abuse [L steal from] poor people because they are poor, and do not ·take away the rights of [oppress] the needy in ·court [L the gate].
Rob not the poor, because he is poor, neither oppress the afflicted in judgment.
Do not rob the poor because they are poor or trample on the rights of an oppressed person at the city gate,
Don't take advantage of the poor just because you can; don't take advantage of those who stand helpless in court.
Don’t rob a poor man because he is poor, and don’t crush the oppressed at the gate,
Do not abuse poor people because they are poor. And do not take away the rights of the needy in court.
Don’t rob the poor person because he is poor, and don’t crush the helpless in court,
¶ Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither destroy the destitute in judgment:

Don’t rob the poor and sick! For the Lord is their defender. If you injure them, he will punish you.
Don’t walk on the poor just because they’re poor, and don’t use your position to crush the weak, Because God will come to their defense; the life you took, he’ll take from you and give back to them.

Do not cheat poor people just because they are vulnerable or use shady tactics in court to crush those already suffering;
Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court;
Do thou not violence to a poor man, for he is poor; neither defoul thou a needy man in the gate. (Do not thou do violence to a poor person, because he is poor; and do not take advantage of a needy person in court/at the city gates.)
