Isaiah 28:11
Print
For with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people,
Nay, but by men of strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people;
Indeed, the Lord will teach this people [in a more humiliating way] By [men with] stammering lips and a foreign tongue,
No, but [the Lord will teach the rebels in a more humiliating way] by men with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people [says Isaiah, and teach them His lessons].
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
For he will speak to this people with stammering speech and in a foreign language.
With derisive speech and a foreign tongue, he will speak to this people.
So with stammering lips, in a foreign accent, [Adonai] will speak to this people.
So, the Lord will speak to his people in strange sounds and foreign languages.
For with stammering lips and a strange tongue will he speak to this people;
For with the speech of lips, and with another tongue he will speak to this people.
So God will use this strange way of talking, and he will use other languages to speak to these people.
So now the Lord will use foreign enemies to speak to these people. He will speak to them in a strange language.
So the Lord will speak to this people with barbarous lips and in a foreign tongue.
For by people of strange lips and with a foreign tongue the Lord will speak to this people,
For by people of strange lips and with a foreign tongue the Lord will speak to this people,
So the Lord will use ·strange words [mocking/stammering lips] and foreign ·languages [tongues] to speak to these people.
For with a stammering tongue, and with a strange language shall he speak unto this people.
The Lord will speak to these people. He will mock them by speaking in a foreign language.
If you won't listen to me, then God will use foreigners speaking some strange-sounding language to teach you a lesson.
So He will speak to this people with stammering speech and in a foreign language.
So the Lord will use strange words and foreign languages to speak to these people.
Very well, then, through the mouths of foreigners and foreign languages the Lord will speak to this people
For with stammering lips and another tongue he will speak to this people.
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Indeed, He will speak to this people Through stammering lips and a foreign tongue,
For he will speak with stammering and another tongue to this people,
But they won’t listen; the only language they can understand is punishment! So God will punish them by sending against them foreigners who speak strange gibberish! Only then will they listen to him!
But that’s exactly how you will be addressed. God will speak to this people In baby talk, one syllable at a time— and he’ll do it through foreign oppressors. He said before, “This is the time and place to rest, to give rest to the weary. This is the place to lay down your burden.” But they won’t listen.
For with stammering lips and foreign tongue He will speak to this people,
Yahweh will speak to these people. He will mock them by speaking in a foreign language.
Yes, with stammering lips and in a strange language he will speak to this people,
Indeed, He will speak to this people Through stammering lips and a foreign tongue,
Indeed, He will speak to this people Through stammering lips and a foreign tongue,
Now, with stammering lips and in an alien tongue, he will speak to this people,
So the Lord will use strange words and foreign languages to speak to these people.
For with mocking lips and a foreign tongue he will speak to these people.
All right then, these people won’t listen to me. So God will speak to them. He will speak by using people who speak unfamiliar languages. He will speak by using the mouths of strangers.
Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people,
Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people,
For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people,
The Lord will speak to these people through men from other lands and in strange languages.
So now God will have to speak to his people through foreign oppressors who speak a strange language!
Truly, with stammering lip and with alien tongue he will speak to this people,
Truly, with stammering lip and with alien tongue he will speak to this people,
Truly, with stammering lip and with alien tongue he will speak to this people,
Truly, with stammering lip and with another tongue he will speak to this people,
For with stammering safah (lips) and with lashon acheret (another tongue, different tongue) will He speak to HaAm Hazeh.
Nay, but by men of strange lips and with an alien tongue the Lord will speak to this people,
Nay, but by men of strange lips and with an alien tongue the Lord will speak to this people,
For through stammering lips and a foreign tongue He will speak to this people,
For now that God’s people reject His message, He will speak to them through the stammering lips And foreign language of an invader.
But he will speak to this nation with stammering lips and in another language,
For why in [the] speech of lip, and in other language, he shall speak to this people,
For by scorned lip, and by another tongue, Doth He speak unto this people.
