1 Corinthians 9:14
Print
Even so hath the Lord ordained that those who preach the Gospel should live from the Gospel.
Even so did the Lord ordain that they that proclaim the gospel should live of the gospel.
So also [on the same principle] the Lord directed those who preach the gospel to get their living from the gospel.
[On the same principle] the Lord directed that those who publish the good news (the Gospel) should live (get their maintenance) by the Gospel.
Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should earn their living by the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who preach the gospel should get their living from the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord directed that those who proclaim the Good News should get their living from the Good News.
In the same way, the Lord wants everyone who preaches the good news to make a living from preaching this message.
So also the Lord has ordained to those that announce the glad tidings to live of the glad tidings.
So also the Lord directed the ones proclaiming the good-news to be living from the good-news.
So also the Lord ordained that they who preach the gospel, should live by the gospel.
It is the same with those who have the work of telling the Good News. The Lord has commanded that those who tell the Good News should get their living from this work.
In the same way, the people who tell God's good news to others should receive what they need to live. They should receive it from the people who hear the good news from them.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel are to receive their living from the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who ·tell the Good News [proclaim/preach the Gospel] should get their living from ·this work [L the Gospel].
So also hath the Lord ordained, that they which preach the Gospel, should live of the Gospel.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who spread the Good News should earn their living from the Good News.
In the same way, the Lord has ordered that those who preach the gospel should get their living from it.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should earn their living by the gospel.
It is the same with those who tell the Good News. The Lord has commanded that those who tell the Good News should get their living from this work.
In the same way, the Lord has ordered that those who proclaim the gospel should make their living from the gospel.
Are you ignorant of the fact that those who minister sacred things take part of the sacred food of the Temple for their own use, and those who attend the altar have their share of what is placed on the altar? On the same principle the Lord has ordered that those who proclaim the Gospel should receive their livelihood from those who accept the Gospel.
Even so the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel.
In the same way also the Lord ordered those who proclaim the gospel to live from the gospel.
In the same way the Lord has given orders that those who preach the Gospel should be supported by those who accept it.
I’m not just sounding off because I’m irritated. This is all written in the scriptural law. Moses wrote, “Don’t muzzle an ox to keep it from eating the grain when it’s threshing.” Do you think Moses’ primary concern was the care of farm animals? Don’t you think his concern extends to us? Of course. Farmers plow and thresh expecting something when the crop comes in. So if we have planted spiritual seed among you, is it out of line to expect a meal or two from you? Others demand plenty from you in these ways. Don’t we who have never demanded deserve even more? But we’re not going to start demanding now what we’ve always had a perfect right to. Our decision all along has been to put up with anything rather than to get in the way or detract from the Message of Christ. All I’m concerned with right now is that you not use our decision to take advantage of others, depriving them of what is rightly theirs. You know, don’t you, that it’s always been taken for granted that those who work in the Temple live off the proceeds of the Temple, and that those who offer sacrifices at the altar eat their meals from what has been sacrificed? Along the same lines, the Master directed that those who spread the Message be supported by those who believe the Message.
In the same way, the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.
In the same way, · the Lord gave instructions to those who proclaim the gospel that they should get their living from the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who spread the Good News should earn their living from the Good News.
In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the gospel should live by the gospel.
So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel.
So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the gospel should get their living from the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who tell the Good News should get their living from this work.
In the same way the Lord commanded those who proclaim the gospel to receive their living by the gospel.
So those who preach the good news should also receive their living from their work. That is what the Lord has commanded.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.
Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.
The Lord has said also that those who preach the Good News should get their living from those who hear it.
In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it.
Likewise also did the Lord ordain that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
In the same way the Lord has laid it down that those who announce the gospel should get their living from the gospel.
So also Moshiach Adoneinu appointed the ones proclaiming the Besuras HaGeulah to get their parnasah from the Besuras HaGeulah.
So also has the Lord ordained, that those who preach the Gospel, should live from the Gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
So also the Lord ordered those who proclaim the Good News to get their living from the Good News.
So it shouldn’t be a stretch that the Lord has arranged for preachers of the gospel to make a living by those who have embraced and been liberated by the gospel.
Even so the Lord ordained that those who proclaim the Good News should live from the Good News.
It is the same with those who work telling the good news. The Lord said they should get their living from that work.
So [and] the Lord ordained to them that tell the gospel, to live of the gospel.
so also did the Lord direct to those proclaiming the good news: of the good news to live.
