Then I said, “Behold, I have come;
    in the scroll of the book it is written (C)of me:
(D)I delight to do your will, O my God;

(D)Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
    the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
He has told you, O man, what is good;
    and (E)what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,[b]
    and to (F)walk humbly with your God?

  2. Micah 6:8 Or steadfast love

in burnt offerings and sin offerings
    you have taken no pleasure.
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,

When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in (A)sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), then he added, (B)“Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second.
