¹⁹ They will not be disgraced in times of adversity;
they will be satisfied in days of hunger.^(A)

²³ Kings will be your guardians
and their queens^[a] your nursing mothers.^(A)
They will bow down to you
with their faces to the ground
and lick the dust at your feet.^(B)
Then you will know that I am the Lord;^(C)
those who put their hope in me
will not be put to shame.^(D)

²⁶ You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied.^(A)
You will praise the name of the Lord your God,^(B)
who has dealt wondrously with you.^(C)
My people will never again be put to shame.^(D)
27 You will know that I am present in Israel^(E)
and that I am the Lord your God,
and there is no other.^(F)
My people will never again be put to shame.^(G)

¹¹ On that day you^[a] will not be put to shame^(A)
because of everything you have done
in rebelling^(B) against me.
For then I will remove
from among you your jubilant,^(C) arrogant people,
and you will never again be haughty
on my holy mountain.^(D)

Look, I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over
and a rock to trip over,
and the one who believes on him^(A)
will not be put to shame.^[a](B)

See, I lay a stone in Zion,^(A)
a chosen and honored^[a] cornerstone,^(B)
and the one who believes in him
will never be put to shame.^[b](C)
