Psalm 54:4-7

The Message

^4-5Oh, look! God’s right here helping!
God’s on my side,
Evil is looping back on my enemies.
Don’t let up! Finish them off!

^6-7I’m ready now to worship, so ready.
I thank you, God—you’re so good.
You got me out of every scrape,
and I saw my enemies get it.

Psalm 54:4-6

⁴Surely God is my help;^(A)
the Lord is the one who sustains me.^(B)

⁵Let evil recoil^(C) on those who slander me;
in your faithfulness^(D) destroy them.

⁶I will sacrifice a freewill offering^(E) to you;
I will praise^(F) your name, Lord, for it is good.^(G)

⁴Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

⁵He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.

⁶I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
