⁸By day the Lord ^(A)commands his steadfast love,
and at ^(B)night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life.

⁸By day the Lord directs his love,^(A)
at night^(B) his song^(C) is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.^(D)

⁸Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
