³⁴^(A)Surely He scorns the scornful,
But gives grace to the humble.

Proverbs 3:34

³⁴He mocks^(A) proud mockers^(B)
but shows favor to the humble^(C) and oppressed.

⁶But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

^(A)“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

⁶But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

“God opposes the proud
