18 Then the house of Jacob will be a (A)fire,
And the house of Joseph a flame;
But the house of Esau will be like stubble.
And they will set [a]them on fire and consume [b]them,
So that there will be (B)no survivor of the house of Esau,”
For the Lord has spoken.
19 Then those of the [c]Negev will [d](C)possess the mountain of Esau,
And those of the [e]Shephelah the (D)Philistine plain;
Also, (E)they will [f]possess the territory of Ephraim and the territory of Samaria,
And Benjamin the territory of Gilead.
20 And the exiles of this army of the sons of Israel,
Who are among the Canaanites as far as (F)Zarephath,
And the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad,
Will [g]possess the (G)cities of the Negev.

18 Jacob will be a fire
and Joseph a flame;
Esau will be stubble,
and they will set him on fire(A) and destroy(B) him.
There will be no survivors(C)
from Esau.”
The Lord has spoken.
19 People from the Negev will occupy
the mountains of Esau,
and people from the foothills will possess
the land of the Philistines.(D)
They will occupy the fields of Ephraim and Samaria,(E)
and Benjamin(F) will possess Gilead.
20 This company of Israelite exiles who are in Canaan
will possess the land as far as Zarephath;(G)
the exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad
will possess the towns of the Negev.(H)
