3 So Israel aligned itself with Baal of Peor,(A) and the Lord’s anger burned against Israel.(B) 4 The Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and execute[a] them in broad daylight before the Lord so that His burning anger may turn away from Israel.”
5 So Moses told Israel’s judges, “Kill each of the men who aligned themselves with Baal of Peor.”

3 So Israel yoked themselves to(A) the Baal of Peor.(B) And the Lord’s anger burned against them.
4 The Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders(C) of these people, kill them and expose(D) them in broad daylight before the Lord,(E) so that the Lord’s fierce anger(F) may turn away from Israel.”
5 So Moses said to Israel’s judges, “Each of you must put to death(G) those of your people who have yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor.”(H)
