52 The Israelites shall camp according to their armies, every man by his own camp and every man by his own [tribal] standard (banner). 53 But the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony, so that there will be no wrath against the congregation of the Israelites. The Levites shall be in charge of the tabernacle of the Testimony.” 54 Thus the sons of Israel did these things; according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so they did.

52 The Israelites are to set up their tents by divisions, each of them in their own camp under their standard.(A) 53 The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle(B) of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall(C) on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the covenant law.(D)”
54 The Israelites did all this just as the Lord commanded Moses.
